“The focus is on children!”
On August 19, the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ information and propaganda campaign “Children in the spotlight!” will start in the republic. and it will last until September 13. The goal of the campaign is to attract public attention to the problem of injuries and deaths of children from external causes, including fires due to leaving them unattended.
The first stage will take place from August 19 to 30. This period for the start of the campaign was not chosen by chance: in the last ten days of August, a hot time begins for parents and their children - the completion of preparations for the new school year. That is why the main target audience with which rescuers will actively work will be parents, and the places to communicate with them will be trading floors and places where children's goods are sold (school markets, fairs). For example, in children's clothing departments in large shopping centers and other retail facilities, sets of children's combat rescue clothing will appear on mannequins and hangers, and fire extinguishers and autonomous fire detectors will appear in office supply departments . All paraphernalia will be accompanied by an information medium on which will hang a label with the slogan “For unattended children . ” As experts, you will be able to meet employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who will talk about the rules of safe behavior, help you purchase not only school supplies, but also an invaluable wealth of knowledge, and as a pleasant bonus, they will give everyone bright brochures, booklets, memos and “Advice from the Ministry of Emergency Situations to Parents and children."
Parents and children, coming to pick up school uniforms and stationery, will also be able to test their knowledge of the rules of safe behavior in everyday life. Emergency Situations Ministry workers will offer children to pass the “Safety Exam,” which is important at the beginning of the school year. Participants will be given a special bracelet and a “Safety Diary” with tasks that must be completed. As soon as they cope with all of them, the rescuer will put the appropriate mark in the “Safety Diary” and present the examinee with a “Certificate of Examination”, which will be proof of its owner’s strong knowledge in the field of safety. In some localities, the “Safety Exam” will be held in a larger format: tasks from the “Safety Diary” will turn into separate interactive platforms that will find their place within the shopping facility that has become the site of the campaign.
“Academy of Young Rescuers” will allow you to master a new profession in just an hour and then receive a supporting document . Campaign participants will be able to pass an exam on safety rules: more complex stages consisting of theoretical and practical parts. It includes 10 thematic tasks, for each of which the Ministry of Emergency Situations worker gives a rating on a scale from 1 to 10. When all the tests are overcome, the guys will receive an “Academy Certificate of Completion” and can rightfully consider themselves a young rescuer!
The second stage will last from September 2 to 13. The venues for the events will be institutions of the first stage of general secondary education. Rescuers will attend holiday celebrations and also conduct themed “Safety Lessons” with children. Especially for the beginning of the school year, the Ministry of Emergency Situations developed a “Safe Schoolchild Calendar”, which will become a gift for children upon completion of the thematic lesson.
Also, the Ministry of Emergency Situations workers will take part in parent meetings, at which special attention will be focused on ensuring safe living conditions for children, teaching them the rules of safe behavior at home and on the street, and in an interactive format, parents will be reminded of the rules for using a fire extinguisher and first aid algorithms .
The campaign will involve BMOSP activists and other interested organizations, as well as the media, which will broadcast thematic videos, fill the radio with useful information and post articles aimed at preventing emergencies involving children.
Join the campaign and make this period happy and safe for your children!
